Dinner = Bath
So far, McKenzie has pretty much eaten whatever we put in front of her. That includes chicken, black beans, pears, black eyed peas, macaroni, peas and other stuff that I'm probably forgetting. At least for now, she's not a picky eater. But, she is a messy eater...

Knocked Out... Finally
We've kind of kept it under wraps, but McKenzie has actually been sleeping really well. We don't tell people because then it's like "SHE KNOWS!" and she reminds us that she's the boss by yelling at us at 2am for a few nights in a row. Anyway, it wasn't long ago that we were used to the sleepless nights. Well, as used to it as you can get. But then, we had several weeks of good, uninterrupted sleep. It felt magical. So, when McKenzie's two front teeth started making their way through, it was a bad, bad day. And night. And nights. After about a week though, the pain subsided (I guess, she NEVER talks to us!) and she returned to her normal self. You never know just how much you love a sleeping baby until you have to love a non-sleeping baby for a while!

Happy Mother's Day...
To me! My first Mother's Day was laid back and relaxing, which was just perfect. McKenzie helped Brant pick out two new dresses for me and she picked up an iTunes gift card so that I could buy some new tunes for her to dance to. As you will hopefully see in the video below, she has some pretty sweet dance moves.
Thanks to Brant and McKenzie for a perfect 1st Mother's Day. Sometimes, I still find it hard to believe that I'm a mother!

Caterpillar Head
I can't even count how many nicknames we have for McKenzie. It's a wonder she knows her actual name, because our nicknames have nothing to do with her name. For the sake of memories, I wanted to blog a few of our current names: Toot Bomb (coined by her granddaddy Carter), Puddin' Pop, Pooter Roo, Baby Girl, Pumpkin Head, Little Turkey and a slew of others that pop up depending on what she's wearing (ie Caterpillar Head) or doing at the time (ie Stink Butt). When she's sixteen and her friends somehow find this blog, she will definitely hate me!
