Look Into My Eyes

We're almost to nine months and those blue eyes are staying strong. Of course I'm biased, but those eyes are just beautiful. Ignore the red nose. I guess it's allergy season!

Assume the Position

This is McKenzie's new feeding position. When I brought this bottle in the other night, she slammed her head back against Brant and threw her arms behind her head. We'd like to think that's her very own sign language for "Feed me, NOW!"

New Kicks!

I know McKenzie has no business wearing shoes right now... which is why I bought these in size 12-18 months so she can wear them this summer!

Teething is Not Fun

McKenzie has been a little cranky these last few days. And when she decided to use my finger as a chew toy, I figured out why. We have teeth!!! It looks like her two bottom teeth have finally broken through. If she allowed us to open her mouth for longer than two seconds, we might know for sure which ones and how many, but that's not happening. There's no way I can get a picture of the teeth, so I thought I would just post a recent shot.

Birthday Shot

It's been awhile since I've made time to post. In fact, I haven't even taken pictures off the camera since my birthday. Here's McKenzie and me checking out the brownie cake that Brant made for me.

Quick Update

Not too much to report, although we are getting closer and closer to crawling each day. Oh and McKenzie has started to wave "Bye-Bye" so that's really fun. She had some separation anxiety at church last Sunday. After Brant dropped her off, she started crying and they just couldn't get her to stop. As I walked into the nursery area, a lady stopped me and asked if I was McKenzie's mom. She reported to me that the cries were surprisingly sharp so she wondered if everything was ok. If only she knew how loud and intense those screams can get! As soon as they handed her to me, she stopped crying. In a way, that made me feel good but then again, I would have liked to have heard the sermon!

Here's a pic that I meant to post on Valentine's Day. McKenzie got a card from her Aunt Rebecca (and her Uncle Chris may or may not have known it was sent) and she loved it! Kept her busy during many diaper changes. Thanks Rebecca!!
